Seminar LEGS and PESLA

Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS) is a program that prepares graduates for the workforce. They will learn more about DOLE's services for facilitating employment, protecting workers, and providing social security for employees during the seminar.

PESLA speaker provided advice on job applications during the workshops. They also discussed the numerous employment initiatives that the relevant local government is offering. The Pre-Employment Overseas Seminar (PESLA) curriculum of the PESLA teaches students how to apply for jobs abroad and discusses the motivations behind Filipinos' desire to work abroad. Also, it gave instructions on how to prevent being a victim of unauthorized recruiters.

The three insights that I would like to keep and use in the future are to emphasize the importance of soft skills. While technical skills are important for securing a job, soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability are equally crucial. As a graduating student, I need to understand that possessing soft skills can set me apart from other candidates and increase my chances of success in the workforce. Provide me with practical training opportunities: It is essential to provide me with practical training opportunities to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world work experiences. This could be in the form of internships, apprenticeships, or job shadowing programs. These opportunities allow me to apply the skills they have learned in a real-world setting, gain valuable experience, and build our network of professional contacts.   Encourage lifelong learning: The world of work is constantly changing, and it's essential for me as a graduating student to understand that we must continue learning throughout our careers to stay relevant and competitive. Encourage me to develop a growth mindset and to embrace lifelong learning opportunities, such as professional development courses or attending conferences and seminars. This will enable me to adapt to changes in the labor market and pursue new career opportunities as they arise. I can learn about a wide range of subjects in seminars, and each one will undoubtedly provide you with the perspective you need for the task you already have. I consider this: the more you learn, the more useful you'll be as an employee and team member because most seminars can cover anything you can imagine.

The Most Interesting Question Mock Job Interview Experience

"Where do you see yourself in five years from now?"

The most interesting question that I was asked during my mock job interview was, "Where do you see yourself in five years from now?" This question made me excited about my life and what I see for myself in five years. I would answer it clearly of what my life is going on. I show how my professional goals and the job that I'm applying for align. And there is my answer: I am certain that the coming five years will be productive for me. Working in an esteemed organization with a positive work environment can be rewarding. I can picture myself growing into the position I am in. I feel the values of this organization can be advantageous to my career. In return, I see myself utilizing my knowledge to yield better outcomes. The five years ahead are a guide for me. They would take me to a target where I could cherish the achievements along the way. In the next 5 years, I see myself as a successful person and growing with the company. After 5 years, I want to be a successful owner of my own business. If you give me the opportunity, I would improve my skills and like to see myself in a good position in the company. I have always wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower, the Big Ben, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Mostly in Europe, but I'm sure I could find many other places around the world. I'd meet every single one of my online friends, spend hours just being with family, and help them with anything they needed. I'd make damn sure that my life achievements get recognized and go down in history. And not some ordinary achievements like getting promoted or gaining social rank through monetary means. I want to be remembered by people I don't even know. I want my name in history books. What I'd do is donate every penny I own to charities. If I'm going to die, I might as well die for something or someone that I consider to have more value than myself, especially now that I'm on a time limit.
